We are over the moon to advise that WinSpeed of Guildford is working absolutely flat-out!!
After the shock-wave and fall-out of 2020 and 2021, with all the attendant disruptions and uncertainties, swift Government action ensured that we were able to retain all our employees. Maybe an odd thing to say, but in our very niche area of specialising in Classic Jaguars – particularly E-Types and XKs – it takes an age to create a team.
And the right team is vital to ensure the continued high standards expected of us.
Now, two years later, the team not only still exists….but it has grown. We number Twelve in all – each one an expert in their field plus an apprentice scheme – our investment in the future.
2022 has seen quite the most extraordinary tsunami of new business. We are Engineering-led and, thankfully, the word is out there that WinSpeed has stamped its own identity of character and ability on the face of the UK Classic Jaguar industry.
We have to manage expectations, but likewise we have to say it how it is. If a car has an issue we are duty-bound to advise the owner. But this is not just safety-related…..it is to give you the car that it should be and, with it, the resulting enjoyment that you had always expected.
So – on a very Up-Beat note – we are pleased to say that on site we have four major restorations: Mk1 Jaguar Saloon; XK150 Roadster; and 2 x 1962 E-Type 3.8 Coupes (one of which is historically VERY special!)….in addition to Twelve E-Types (both 6 & 12-cylinder) and Four XKs undergoing substantial remedial work. Our Engine Shop has eight XK engines either built & awaiting installation or within that process.
Despite the volume, we are obviously always taking bookings!
