SOLD SOLD SOLD Finished in Carmen Red with Biscuit interior trim, this outstanding example must be viewed and driven to fully appreciate its very special position in the `opportunistic`market of E-Types currently for sale.
In one ownership (a notable Jaguar aficionado) since 2007 and with only seven owners from new, this example surpasses almost every other E-Type currently available in a competitive and discerning market. We at WinSpeed have maintained the car perfectly, including a full WinSpeed engine and gearbox rebuild and retrim, and we regard it with very high esteem.
With excellent panel gaps it looks terrific, performs beautifully, is very precise on the road and is devoid of any major faults.
As a very rare transition between Series 1 and Series 2, the Series 1½ occupies a special place in the history of the iconic E-Type. Retaining the bulk of the original Series 1 styling (profile, side lights and interior) its `give-away` is open headlights.
Still bearing its original Number Plate – PMF 3F – it was originally supplied (in Cream with Black trim) to celebrated knitwear designer, Mary Farrin of Croydon, in November 1967. In more recent times it was owned by the Mother of a very well-known Historic Racer and international supplier of Historic cars.
This continuous history, therefore, makes this car worthy of serious consideration.
On the button, ready to enjoy with confidence and a car that we are proud to sell!
